To authorize apps, SKY API requires at least one admin user to be authenticated with Blackbaud ID. SKY API uses the OAuth 2.0 protocol to authorize API requests. This enables your application to access Blackbaud data without exposing any user credentials (username/password) to your application. Instead, users must provide consent to your application to access data on their behalf.
To enable Blackbaud ID access, an admin with the platform manager role (security group) should use the Core capability of Education Management to invite users to register using their email addresses as usernames.
